Petrol in diesel — the costly one
This is the more damaging mistake because petrol removes the lubrication the diesel injection system depends on. If run, it can wreck the pump and injectors.
Diesel in petrol — usually less severe
Diesel just won't burn properly in a petrol engine, so the car runs rough or won't start. Annoying, but rarely as destructive. Both need draining before you drive.
