Wrong fuel in Evington — FAQs
What should I do right now?
Don't start the engine. If you're on a forecourt, put the car in neutral and push it clear of the pump, then call 0800 170 0644.
How much will it cost?
Call-outs start from £89. We quote the full price on the phone before we set off, based on your vehicle and situation.
How quickly can you get to me?
Typically around 30–60 minutes, depending on where you are and traffic. We run 24/7, 365 days a year.
Will my car be OK afterwards?
In most cases where the engine wasn't run, yes — we drain and flush and you drive away. We'll tell you honestly if we think it needs a garage check.
Does my insurance cover this?
Misfuelling is often excluded from standard cover, though some policies and breakdown add-ons include it. Keep our paperwork in case you claim.
